We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant/ Property Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow in the real estate / property management industry and contribute to the success of our properties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



As an Assistant/ Junior Property Manager, you will provide essential support to the Property Manager and ensure the smooth operation of our properties. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Tenant Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Property Manager and other team members to achieve operational goals.

Vendor Coordination: Assist in tendering and awarding service contracts, and liaise with contractors for repairs and maintenance.

Administrative Support: Assist with lease preparation, move-in/move-out coordination, and maintaining accurate tenant records.

Property Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure they are well-maintained and identify any maintenance or repair needs.

Documentation: Prepare meeting minutes, AGM packages, status certificates, and other property-related documents.

Compliance: Ensure properties comply with relevant legislation, such as the [Residential Tenancies Act] or [Condominium Act].

Financial Management: Help prepare annual budgets, track expenses, and analyze financial statements to identify variances.

QUALIFICATIONS



To succeed in this role, you should have:

A high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in administration, property management, or a related field is an asset.

1-2 years of experience in property management, customer service, or administration (experience is preferred but not required for junior candidates).

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, Spectra, Buildium, Propra).

Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of building maintenance, basic accounting, and relevant legislation is an asset.

A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (if required for property inspections).
