What this job involves:



We're looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our team at a prominent Class A office tower in Toronto's financial district. This well-positioned property offers connectivity throughout the downtown core, and convenient access to Union Station. As part of our property management team, you'll play a key role in supporting daily operations and tenant services at this established commercial address, working alongside experienced professionals to maintain the high standards expected in Toronto's competitive office market.



The ideal candidate has strong financial acumen, willing to be hands on to urgent tenant needs and promotes a supportive and collaborative environment for the tenants and the Property Management Team.



What your day-to-day will look like:



Establish and maintain professional relationships with tenant contacts, resolving inquiries and complaints while escalating complex issues as needed

Implement tenant value-add programs and organize events such as BBQs and desk drops, including contract negotiations

Administer cleaning contracts and conduct regular inspections as directed by management

Monitor tenant service request system and work order completion, escalating outstanding items when necessary

Assist with budget preparation, monthly/quarterly reports, and management of additional revenue streams including parking and storage

Support tenant receivables collection, monitor accounts in Yardi system, and ensure timely preparation of charge back billings

Identify opportunities to reduce energy and water consumption while maximizing waste diversion and implementing new recycling programs

Assist with building industry certification submissions and environmental sustainability initiatives

Provide support to Property Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager and staff as required



Required Qualifications:



5+ years of progressive property management experience with commercial properties



Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite



Understand basic financial procedures and management; specifically, procedures for expenses/revenues



Working knowledge of Yardi



Strong written and verbal communication skills
