The Assistant Property Manager is a leader, a community builder, and an ambassador of the Tricon brand. They partner closely with the Property Manager to ensure our community thrives, our residents feel at home, and our team feels supported. The Assistant Property manager focuses on people-first leadership, attention to detail, and operational excellence, helps shape a property that residents love and employees are proud to serve.



This role blends leadership, service, and operations ensuring that every detail, from suite readiness to financial performance, is executed with care and precision. Equally important, the Assistant Property Manager mentors and supports concierge staff and other team members, fostering a collaborative environment built on respect, accountability, and shared success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Champion Resident Experience:

Serve as a trusted point of contact for residents, ensuring every interaction reflects professionalism, empathy, and a sense of community.

Foster Community Connections:

Support and participate in resident events and initiatives that encourage engagement, inclusivity, and belonging.

Lead with Care:

Provide guidance and support to the concierge team and other staff, ensuring they feel empowered, valued, and aligned with service excellence standards.

Ensure Move-In Excellence:

Oversee suite readiness and seamless move-in/move-out experiences that set the tone for resident satisfaction.

Maintain Rent-Ready Standards:

Conduct regular property inspections to uphold the quality, safety, and appeal of suites, amenity spaces, and common areas.

Provide Timely Service:

Liaise with residents and contractors to resolve maintenance requests promptly, keeping communication clear and resident focused.

Support Financial Health:

Assist with rent collection, notices, and account management with professionalism and empathy, ensuring transparency for residents.

Prioritize Safety & Comfort:

Oversee security and janitorial contractors to maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment.

Collaborate on Operations:

Partner with the Property Manager and team on daily operations, vendor relationships, and budget management.

Uphold Standards of Service:

Consistently demonstrate leadership, cultural awareness, and attention to detail that reflects our people-first values.

Qualifications:



Genuine passion for creating positive, memorable living experiences through empathy, service, and care. Proven experience in customer service, hospitality, real estate, or property management, with strong relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor concierge and staff, fostering a collaborative, people-first culture. Experience supporting events or initiatives that strengthen resident and community connections is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to connect with residents and staff across diverse backgrounds. Maintains a polished, approachable presence that reflects respect and care. Strong organizational skills and accuracy in managing records, reports, budgets, and compliance requirements. Ability to address resident concerns and operational challenges with judgment and creativity. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Yardi or similar systems is preferred. Willingness to support after-hours emergencies, evenings, or weekends when resident needs arise. Knowledge of applicable legislation (Residential Tenancies Act, Employment Standards Act, Fire Code, OHSA).

Minimum Requirements:



Minimum 1+ years of property management experience Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Attributes:



Experience in a multi-family or residential environment Bachelor's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Hospitality, or Community Development
