As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support the daily operations of a residential property management company assisting in administrative tasks and tenant relations to ensure a well-maintained and efficient property.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring all properties are maintained and running efficiently.
Assist in leasing activities including showing units, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
Liaise with tenants to address issues, handle lease agreements, and ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA).
Handle tenant inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Conduct property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate tenant records, lease agreements, and other property-related documentation.
Assist in rent collection and financial reporting.
Provide regular reports to senior management on property performance, vacancies, and tenant concerns.
Utilize property management software and record keeping.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for property maintenance.
Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants.
Participate in tenant move-ins/move-outs, ensuring units are ready for new occupants.
Respond to tenant requests and emergencies promptly.
Requirements
Minimum: Secondary School Completion.
University degree preferred, or college diploma.
Must read and write English fluently.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with tenants, contractors, and team members effectively.
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) is an asset.
Knowledge of construction or building maintenance is an asset.
A real estate license is an asset.
A positive attitude and a "to-do" mindset.
Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car for travel to various sites.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Experience
Required: Two years customer-service/sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: Residential property management experience.

Special Requirements
Be willing to work irregular hours as rental offices are open seven days a week, including evenings and weekends.
