Safeway Holdings (Alberta) Ltd. is excited to announce this new opening - Assistant Property Manager located in Fort McMurray. The company's head office is in downtown Calgary. Established in 1974 the portfolio covers over 1.6 million square feet of office, industrial, residential, and retail space in Calgary, Chestermere, Edmonton, and Fort McMurray which is managed in-house and continues to attract first-rate tenants. Reporting to the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager is mainly responsible for the daily operations of property management and assists the Property Manager in managing 223 residential units and multiple commercial spaces.

Responsibilities
:
Tenant relations for Fort McMurray portfolio of commercial, apartment, retail, and office space
Work closely with the operations team for tenant's request
Work with marketing department for tenant retention
Work with leasing and operations departments as needed
Liaise with contractors, service providers, and tenants
Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance activities
Investigate and help to resolve complaints, disturbances, and violations
Collect monthly fees
Participate in the full leasing process such as showing, applications, collecting tenants' information, drafting the residential leases, etc
Complete the renewal activities
Maintain the inventory record including but not limited to the appliances, furniture, equipment, etc
Update Condo requirements for fully owned building
Budgeting and Analysis
Regular inspections of owned buildings / leased (move-ins / move-outs), occupied and vacant spaces
Assist in developments as required
Work with municipalities
Requirement to join 3 Condo Boards
Negotiate contracts
Submit regular reports covering the details of the operation, leasing and marketing activities
Involvement in insurance claims and legal matters
Generally, assist the Property Manager as required, including administration
Other ad hoc duties as business needs change
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of property management experience in residential and commercial properties
Excellent work ethic, detailed, self-motivated and self-starter
Must be resourceful, flexible, adaptable, and communicate well
Have a post-secondary education
Completed or working towards an industry designation or equivalent relevant education (eg. RPA) is an asset
Computer literacy, including intermediate-level MS Office skills
Experience in Yardi, Real Estate is an asset
A valid operator's license & reliable vehicle
