We're looking for an Assistant Property Manager to oversee a mixed commercial portfolio of retail, industrial and office! This role ensures that our buildings are presented and operated according to the highest possible standards by establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with tenants, staff, and contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the review and negotiate building services contracts to ensure prudent, cost effective practices are being followed
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports with the accounting department for review by senior management
Assist in the delivery of accurate financial planning, reporting and control for operating budgets as well as capital budgets
Oversee preparation and ongoing administration of capital project administration, documents, contracts and related functions
Administer and maintain timely organization of all contracts and related files
Assist with the development, submission and administration of the annual operating budget
Communicate with the Property Manager(s) on any respective operations and any unusual matters which might affect approved plans and budgets
Conduct building inspections and provide any required feedback.
Assist in overseeing Tenant Services, Property Administration, Payables and Office Administration
Meeting with tenants, understanding their needs and issues and handling tenant complaints or issues as they arise
Review tenant reporting for sales, and other and provide feedback to Property Managers where required.
Review operator TR's for properties to proactively deal with tenants and property issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of property management experience with administration and financial management responsibilities
Ability to motivate and develop a team and manage people
Licensed as a Rental Property Manager with BCFSA or desire to complete the Rental Property Management Licensing Course and get licensed within the first 12 months of employment.
A property management designation, or desire to work towards a property management designation (RPA) preferred
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to use sound judgment and deal with ambiguous complex situations in a professional manner
Ability to multitask, thrives in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
Ability to remain current on building technology development and be able to provide advice on solving building issues
Ability to seek and develop processes improvements that drive efficiencies
Experience reviewing existing organizational structures and implementation of organizational processes
Experience maintaining tenant relations and providing excellent customer service by proactively meeting tenants and logging discussions
Post secondary education required
A passion and focus on environmental issues and ways to reduce carbon footprint
Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle to be able to travel between properties
The base salary for this position is between $70,000 - $80,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
