About the Role

Wolfenburg is seeking a dependable and driven

Assistant

Project Manager

to support our operations by overseeing job sites, coordinating crews, ensuring quality standards, enforcing safety compliance, and serving as a critical point of contact between the field and management. This is an ideal role for someone with flat roofing experience who's ready to step away from the physical demands of the trade and take on more of a leadership and coordination role. You'll be instrumental in helping crews stay on track, ensuring jobs run smoothly, and representing the company on-site. While we are ideally looking for someone with strong experience, we are also open to training a more junior candidate who demonstrates the right attitude, leadership potential, and willingness to grow within the role. As the company continues to grow over the coming year, this position has the potential to evolve into a Production Manager role for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

? Site Oversight & Crew Coordination

o Work in close collaboration with the Production Manager by:
o Reporting real-time updates and observations from job sites.
o Identifying crew needs, performance issues, or staffing challenges.
o Act as the Production Manager's backup during their absence (vacation, sick leave, etc.).
o Support crew efficiency by helping with planning, coordination, and jobsite setup.

? Quality Assurance

o Perform regular site inspections to verify workmanship meets company standards and project specifications.
o Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure satisfaction and address deficiencies.
o Proactively resolve customer concerns during and after project completion.
o Ensure materials are properly installed per manufacturer requirements.

? Health & Safety Compliance

o Enforce all health and safety protocols across job sites, fleet operations, and the shop.
o Confirm that safety equipment is available, up-to-date, and used correctly by all personnel.
o Address and resolve safety violations or hazards promptly.
o Participate in and lead toolbox talks and on-site safety meetings when needed.

? Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance

o Ensure tools, equipment, and company vehicles are maintained according to the maintenance schedule.
o Coordinate repairs or replacements as needed, and maintain logs or checklists.

? Driver & Logistics Support

o Assist in dispatching and coordinating drivers.
o Serve as a backup for the Driver Supervisor during their absence.
o Oversee loading/unloading and ensure proper material delivery to sites.

? Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination

o Liaise with subcontractors when applicable to ensure scheduling, quality, and site readiness.
o Help manage material deliveries and coordinate with suppliers for timely drop-offs.

? Documentation & Reporting

o Maintain accurate records of site activities, safety inspections, and issues encountered.
o Provide daily or weekly updates to management as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years experience in flat roofing 5+ years of supervisory or foreman experience preferred Strong understanding of roofing systems like TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, Mod-Bit Clean driving abstract and own vehicle Apt at receiving detail and follow instructions Eager to learn Customer service experience Certification from flat roofing manufacturer Experience reading blueprints and specs Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., fall protection, WHMIS, ESA) Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple crews/jobs Comfortable with technology
Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits are part of the Compensation package.
