The Department of L\'nu Political and Social Studies in the School of Arts and Social Sciences at CBU invites applications for a tenure-track position in Political Science at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position will commence January 1, 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The successful candidate would regularly teach sections of a Political Science post-baccalaureate Health Care Policy in Canada course. A range of undergraduate political science courses such as public policy in Canada, could also be taught, with a standard course loading of 2-3. Candidates should have an active research record, as demonstrated through conference presentations, academic publications, and successful grant applications. Evidence of community-engaged research would be of interest.
The successful candidate must possess a PhD in Political Science or closely related discipline. Candidates who are in the later stages of their PhD may be considered with the successful completion of the PhD being a condition of employment.
Candidates must have academic expertise and a demonstrated ability to teach Health Care and Canadian Public Policy. A secondary area of teaching and research interest would be in Federal/Provincial/Indigenous Relations.
Special attention will be paid to candidates with insight into the first-year experience of International, Indigenous and Black students.
CBU teaches programs on campus, off campus in locations across and outside of Canada, and on-line. The university and its partners will therefore provide opportunities for faculty members to teach in different modes in different locations as part of their regular workload. While these opportunities may not be available equally for all faculty positions in all programs, a clear willingness to teach in different modes and locations will be noted as part of your application.
