The University of Ottawa\'s Faculty of Health Sciences and its School of Rehabilitation Sciences invite applications for a faculty position for its program in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Title of the position: Assistant professor \xe2\x80\x93 in speech-language pathology

Duties: The functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities revealed by research, artistic or literary creation, or professional work; c) academic service activities, d) supervision of graduate students.

Terms: Tenure-track position

Wage: Salary scale for an Assistant Professor starts at $89,622 (as of May 1, 2023)

Skills requirements:

  • Education : Ph.D. or equivalent in speech-language pathology or a related field. Postdoctoral experience an asset.
  • Work experience:
  • A demonstrated excellent research track record in speech-language pathology, and more specifically in the field of oral and written communication or developmental language disorders in children.
  • A demonstrated track record in teaching at the graduate level
  • A strong track record in interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills in French. Passive (or active) knowledge of English is a requirement for tenure. The speech-language pathology program is offered exclusively in French.
  • Member in good standing of the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists or another speech-language pathology Canadian provincial regulatory body or prepared to become a member of the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario within 2 years of hire.
