Job Title: Assistant Production Supervisor



Mirus International Inc. is seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor at 31 Sun Pac Boulevard, Brampton, Ontario, L6S 5P6. The successful candidate must have experience working in the manufacturing industry.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:



The Assistant Production Supervisor provides daily operational support to the Production Supervisor and Operations Manager to help maintain structure, discipline, and execution on the production floor. The Assistant plays a key role in supporting accountability, enforcing standardized processes, and ensuring effective communication and compliance with work expectations. This role complements the leadership team by focusing on floor presence, production oversight, and reinforcing Mirus' operational standards.

Actively monitor the production floor throughout the day to ensure personnel are engaged, following instructions, and meeting production expectations.

Assist with real-time problem-solving to address delays, material issues, and adherence to work orders.

Reinforce accountability to work instructions, attendance policies, safety protocols, and productivity targets.

Support Production Supervisor in delivering daily directions and feedback to team members.

Help ensure that all team members are working within defined processes and that variances are flagged and escalated appropriately.

Communicate regularly with the Production Planner, Quality Manager, and Production Supervisor to resolve issues affecting throughput or quality.

Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of 5S, Lean, and other continuous improvement activities on the floor.

Coordinate cross-training plans and skill coverage to minimize downtime due to absenteeism or skill gaps.

Assist with onboarding new production employees and reinforcing expectations.

Monitor and report daily production activities, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities to the Operations Manager.

Support ERP system utilization by ensuring scanning and data entry is completed accurately and in real time.

Collaborate with Health & Safety to ensure team compliance with ESA and workplace safety standards.

Promote a respectful and productive work environment through consistent presence, structure, and fair reinforcement of rules.

Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Education / Experience Required:



College Diploma in Business, Operations, or Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience.

2+ years in a manufacturing or operations setting, preferably with experience in leadership support or team coordination.

Training and Skill requirements:



1. Strong presence on the floor with the ability to maintain team focus and discipline without conflict.

2. Experience with MRP/ERP production environments and understanding of scheduling principles.

3. Ability to recognize inefficiencies and recommend or execute corrective actions under supervision.

4. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and workplace safety practices.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and Outlook.

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -- assertive yet respectful.

7. Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to operational excellence.

Note: This role is designed to support the Supervisor in day-to-day responsibilities and act as an operational extension of the Operations Manager. It does not override the Supervisor's authority but ensures that structure, policy, and performance expectations are consistently upheld on the production floor.

Pay: $55,377.12-$85,652.92 per year
