Manulife Bank is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Assistant Product Manager with a passion for driving growth, supporting innovative products and services and delivering exceptional customer experience to join the Cards & Partnerships team. The Assistant Product Manager will be responsible for supporting a wide range of initiatives to achieve credit card portfolio growth and to support the overall Manulife Bank payments strategy including credit cards, debit cards and ATMs.

As an Assistant Product Manager, you will be responsible for helping support key projects and initiatives designed to address business opportunities and challenges. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve key portfolio metrics by executing on strategies that drive profitability, streamline existing processes, and improve the customer experience.

Key Accountabilities

Driving Growth:

  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to execute strategies to support new credit card acquisition and ongoing customer engagement through the development of sales tools, scripting, internal communication and campaign support.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the Sales team to support the credit card cross-sell process and champion the overall customer experience for Manulife Bank cardholders.
  • Support internal communications regarding campaigns, initiatives and other product-related changes.
  • Work closely with Credit Risk, Operations and key vendors to support credit card origination channels including strategies, processes and overall customer experience.
  • Influence key credit card metrics, including new account acquisition, net sales, outstanding balances and customer NPS.
Product Management:
  • Support the implementation of credit card and debit card strategies that balance sales, customer experience, risk management and profitability objectives.
  • Support the execution of product enhancements including features & benefits changes, rewards and product pricing.
  • Manage collateral including applications, welcome kits, letters, forms and coordinate updates as required.
Processes and Business Requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and documentation to support the credit and debit card business.
  • Develop/implement a customer centered approach to support high quality delivery.
  • Work closely with Compliance and Legal to execute required regulatory changes
Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Credit Risk, Compliance and key external vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement programs that drive portfolio growth and improve the customer experience.

Job Requirements:
  • University degree in Business or Marketing
  • 1-3 years previous experience in credit cards or payments preferred
