About the Role

We are seeking a motivated

Assistant Plant Manager

with seafood processing experience to play a key leadership role in our Vancouver facility. This is a

hands-on leadership opportunity

, working closely with the Plant Manager and production team to ensure operational efficiency, maintain high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Plant Manager and collaborate with the Production Manager to oversee daily plant operations. Plan and coordinate production schedules, balancing materials, workforce, and capacity. Optimize equipment and workforce utilization to maximize output and control costs. Collect and analyze production data to inform process improvements. Maintain compliance with quality and seafood safety regulations. Train, develop, and lead production staff to build a strong, motivated team. Oversee logistics of inbound and outbound seafood products. Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges to minimize downtime. Operate forklifts as needed in production and cold storage areas.

Qualifications

Proven

seafood processing industry experience

(required). Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience in plant operations, production scheduling, or related management. In-depth knowledge of seafood safety standards and processing best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent English required; Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese language skills are an asset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary:

$75,000 - $95,000 per year

Schedule & Work Environment
