ABOUT THE ROLE



As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day operations at our

seafood processing facility. You'll work closely with the Plant Manager and production team to maintain

high-quality standards, optimize workflows, and lead production staff to meet business objectives. This

is a hands-on leadership role, requiring proven seafood processing experience, strong problem-solving

skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



? Support the Plant Manager and work closely with the Production Manager in overseeing daily

production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and quality control.

? Plan and coordinate production schedules, balancing material availability and labor

requirements.

? Optimize plant equipment and workforce utilization to increase production capacity and reduce

costs.

? Collect, maintain, and analyze production data to improve efficiency and inform decision-

making.

? Maintain high-quality standards while developing and implementing new processing

procedures.

? Assist with logistics for all incoming and outgoing products to ensure smooth operations.

? Train, develop and collaborate with plant staff to build a strong and capable team.

? Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe

work environment.

? Troubleshoot operational challenges, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.

? Assist as needed by operating our forklifts both inside and outside our production and cold

storage areas.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

? Previous experience in seafood processing industry required.

? Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate a team.

? Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

? Strong organizational and time management abilities.

? Experience with plant operations, or production scheduling.

? Knowledge of seafood safety regulations and processing best practices.

? Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

? Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

? Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management abilities.

? Fluent English skills; fluency in Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese is an asset.

? A proactive mindset and ability to work well with the team in a collaborative environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,077.90-$95,359.03 per year
