Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Photographers Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in photography and videography while supporting our lead photographer in various projects. The Photographers Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects of the photography process run smoothly, from pre-shoot preparations to post-production editing.

Duties

Assist the lead photographer during shoots, including setting up equipment and managing lighting. Help with photo editing and manipulation using Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and Capture One. Support video production efforts by filming and assisting with post-production tasks using Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro. Manage color theory and color management to ensure high-quality visual outputs. Collaborate on art direction for various projects, ensuring alignment with the creative vision. Engage in social media management by curating content and promoting photography work online. Participate in sales efforts by showcasing photography services to potential clients. Maintain an organized workflow for files and assets throughout the production process.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere. Experience or knowledge in photo editing, photo manipulation, and post-production processes. Familiarity with filming techniques and video production is a plus. Understanding of color theory and color management principles. Strong communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A background or interest in journalism or social media management is advantageous. Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
