Job Summary:
Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing evening and weekend operations of the gas station and convenience store. The Assistant/ Night Shift Manager ensures a high standard of customer service, operational efficiency, and team supervision during their shift. This position includes maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, handling paperwork, completing nightly bank deposits, and leading a team of up to three staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee nightly store operations and act as the Manager-on-Duty. Supervise and support a team of up to three staff, including delegating tasks and addressing performance issues as needed. Complete shift paperwork and conduct nightly bank deposits accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure all opening/closing procedures are followed. Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally. Dispense fuel according to company procedures and follow all safety protocols. Maintain site cleanliness, including pumps, garbage areas, product displays, and walkways. Restock coolers, interior shelves, and exterior displays (e.g., washer fluid, motor oil). Support Store Manager in enforcing policies, training staff, and communicating shift updates. Report incidents or unusual activity in accordance with company guidelines.
Qualifications:

Legally entitled to work in Canada. Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a retail or customer service setting. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proven reliability and ability to manage a shift independently. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Previous experience in a gas station or convenience store is considered an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
