We are seeking a mature, dependable individual with established roots in our community to join our team as an Assistant/Night Shift Manager. This leadership role requires someone who brings stability, experience, and a commitment to excellence to our evening and weekend operations.

Job Summary



Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing evening and weekend operations of our gas station and convenience store. The Assistant/Night Shift Manager ensures exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and effective team supervision during their shift. This position includes maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, handling financial responsibilities, completing nightly bank deposits, and leading a team of up to three staff members.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations:



Oversee nightly store operations and serve as the Manager-on-Duty Supervise and mentor a team of up to three staff members, including task delegation and performance management Support Store Manager in policy enforcement, staff training, and shift communication Report incidents or unusual activity in accordance with company guidelines

Financial & Administrative Duties:



Complete shift paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Conduct nightly bank deposits with precision and attention to detail Ensure all opening/closing procedures are followed consistently

Customer Service & Safety:



Deliver exceptional customer service, professionally handling inquiries and resolving issues Dispense fuel according to company procedures while maintaining strict safety protocols Maintain comprehensive site cleanliness including pumps, garbage areas, product displays, and walkways

Inventory & Maintenance:



Restock coolers, interior shelves, and exterior displays (washer fluid, motor oil, etc.) Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management

Ideal Candidate Profile Experience & Skills:



Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail, customer service, or related field Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong organizational and communication skills Proven track record of reliability and independent shift management Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment

Mature, stable individual with strong work ethic and professional demeanor Long-standing community member who values local relationships and reputation Exceptional integrity, particularly when handling financial responsibilities Natural problem-solver with ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Availability & Requirements:



Legally entitled to work in Canada Available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts Previous gas station or convenience store experience is considered a strong asset Valid identification and ability to pass background checks

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
