Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Residence Life, this is position is responsible for developing a positive community within on-campus housing at the University of Regina with primary responsibility for communications, programming and student conduct management.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Support move-in procedures for University or Regina residents;
  • Provide support to the Community Assistant Program and Resident Assistant Program;
  • Collaborate with the Residence Life team to create practical life-skills programming for students;
  • Support successful student transition to university life;
  • Assist in the preparation of the Residence Life budget;
  • Respond to resident and housing issues in a timely and effective manner;
  • Support the Residence Life team by ordering promotional materials;
  • Promote opportunities in residence both internally and externally: e.g. Living Learning Communities, URPriority, the Really Big Deal;
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and duties associated with on-call; and,
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in Arts, Education, Business Administration or Social Work with a minimum of 3 years related experience in a residential setting, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) with high accuracy and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated problem solving and mediation skills;
  • Proven public speaking and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting;
  • Ability to effectively plan, implement and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to maintain record keeping systems and procedures;
  • Demonstrated experience with student, the general public, and University departments is an asset;
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office programs and complex databases such as: StarRez and Banner;
  • Must be available to work outside of regular work hours on occasion and participate in an on-call rotation for weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands
Primarily an office environment.
May be required to do some lifting during resident move-in/move-out’s. Pay Grade APT 4 Salary Range $60,172.00 - $81,196.00 Annually Status Term Work Hours
Typically 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Monday to Friday.
Some evenings and weekends as needed.
On-call required.
Must be available during resident move-in (typically end of August and beginning of January). Duration (if Term/Temporary) 8 months Full-Time/Part-Time Full Time Preference Posting Target Posting Not Targeted
