About the Opportunity

The Assistant Manager helps to support the distribution operations by leading staff and overseeing daily activities of warehouse and administrative functions required to support the program. These include all inbound and outbound warehouse activities, customer service and supply chain support such as purchasing, expediting and product allocations.

The Assistant Manager ensures that the performance and strategic objectives of the program are achieved in collaboration with the Manager. The Assistant Manager will provide ongoing training, coaching and evaluations and develop and measure key performance metrics to ensure overall operations are optimized.

Support and continuous improvement to the quality management program including regulatory, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) is required to ensure licensure and compliance with all applicable authorities is maintained. The Assistant Manager will support the team in completing complaint investigations, self-inspections and ensure policies and procedures are implemented and followed.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor Degree required in a related field, ideally BSc in Chemistry or Pharmacy
  • Three (3) years\' supervisory experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent, combined with Two (2) years\' experience in drug or medical device distribution
  • Health Canada (QPIC) Qualified Person in Charge designation is considered a strong asset
  • Clear Criminal record (check performed annually)
  • Must possess strong financial and resource management skills
  • Must possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize staffing activities, lead and coach team members and provide solid leadership
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks for operating a wholesale drug facility
  • Knowledge of distribution industry processes, standards and trends with GMP Good Manufacturing Practices experience an asset

Hours
  • Permanent Full-time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • Shifts are Monday - Friday, may require after-hours support for emergency issues
Compensation and Incentives

$32.01 - $40.02 Hourly
