Assistant Manager, Leasing

Job Description

This role is a mix of leadership, coaching, and hands-on leasing support. You'll help drive occupancy, keep renewals on track, and support our leasing consultants in hitting their weekly KPIs. You will help monitor performance through CRM software and KPI tracking, and step into leadership when needed to ensure leasing goals are achieved.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:




Drive occupancy by supporting weekly leasing goals (inquiries, appointments, applications, leases). Monitor leasing KPIs, and provide recommendations to improve performance. Support new construction launches, property promotions, and seasonal leasing strategies. Step in to complete tours, applications, or renewals when required. Oversee monthly renewal progress, ensuring notices are sent on time and accurately in compliance with Manitoba RTB guidelines. Support move-in processes, ensuring condition reports and deposit timelines are handled correctly. Coach and mentor leasing consultants, helping them hit KPIs and improve closing skills. Act as Leasing Manager when required, ensuring continuity of operations. Assist in onboarding and training new leasing team members on Entrata, phone systems, and compliance processes. Assist with weekly leasing reports and renewal workbooks for leadership review. Maintain accurate records in

Entrata

and ensure team is accurately feeding the CRM system across all pipeline

QUALIFICATIONS:




Formal education or equivalent and relevant experience (leasing, property management) required. Minimum 2 years of leadership experience. Proven ability to drive team performance.

Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.*
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.). Highly organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks and schedule accordingly. Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills. Strong understanding of Manitoba RTB rules for renewals, assignments, and deposits. Detail oriented with high accuracy in working with documents, reports, and data entry. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities and workloads in a fast-paced work environment.

Knowledge of CRM or other property management software is an asset
