plays a vital role in managing day-to-day operations to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our information systems. This role acts as the deputy leader of the department, assuming full management responsibilities in the ISD Manager's absence and ensuring continuity in service and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Project Management
Lead system analysis and design for new development projects and system enhancements.
Develop project specifications, identify technical resources, perform system testing, and prepare documentation.
Deliver and deploy solutions on time, within budget, and in alignment with business requirements and quality standards.
Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly archived.
Provide effective production support, troubleshoot system issues, and manage help desk ticket flow.
Enforce internal project methodologies and standards.
Analyze and map customer business process requirements to ISD solutions.
Serve as the primary contact for cybersecurity configuration, response, monitoring, and user training.
Prepare for and participate in internal audits and quality assurance procedures.
Departmental & Operational Support
Maintain regulatory and compliance alignment with internal and external management systems.
Assist in developing the monthly ISD business plan.
Foster a collaborative, ethical, and positive work environment through daily team interactions.
Support system maintenance and administration as needed.
Interact professionally with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
Promote a culture of learning and teamwork through training and mentoring opportunities.
Support SPS North American IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum
5 years of experience
in each of the following:
IBM iSeries platform administration, including programming, IBM HA, Rocket/Aldon, and WebSphere MQ
Windows Server platform administration
Cybersecurity configurations and monitoring
Network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, IDS, WAN/LAN, RF/Wireless)
Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Project
Professional certifications (or equivalent experience) such as:
CCNA
MCSE
CISA / CISSP
VMware Certified Associate 6 - Data Center Virtualization (VCA6-DCV)
Demonstrated project management capabilities.
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to learn and apply new technologies efficiently.
Experience in the logistics or automotive industry is a strong asset.
