Assistant Manager, Fan Experience & Security The Assistant Manager, Fan Experience & Security’s leads our Fan Experience operations for the Edmonton Oil Kings. This person will also lead the staffing, deployment, and coaching/mentoring of Fan Experience & Security team members. Your Focus in This Role

  • Lead the day-to-day Fan Experience and Security operations for the Edmonton Oil Kings Brand to deliver service excellence.
  • Drive proactive service delivery and accommodating service recovery, as necessary, ensuring all Fans thoroughly enjoy their experience at Rogers Place.
  • Connect our fans to their passions & foster an intimate knowledge of the Fan expectations, liaising with our account services team.
  • Represent our organization as the assistant-MOD for a number of Oilers, Oil Kings, and Live Entertainment events.
  • Develop our staff with Fan-first skills and abilities through continued coaching & training.
  • Work directly with the Manager, Fan Experience & Security and the Scheduling and Staff Services Coordinator, Fan Experience & Security to coordinate accurate staff deployments for all events.
  • Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and training of all new Fan Experience and Security personnel.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of all internal standard operating procedures for Fan Experience & Security.
  • Work directly with and support the Scheduling and Staff Services Coordinator, Fan Experience & Security with fine tuning of scheduling, monitoring availabilities, and any vacancies leading up to all event nights.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years front of house management experience in a large public assembly facility; preferably with sports and entertainment.
  • Experience in tactical planning and scheduling for events.
  • Strong ability to manage and coach others and effectively supervise.
  • Experience with ABI scheduling is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing customer accounts and retention is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work long, unpredictable hours on evenings, weekends and holidays.
