Position Overview
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager in the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This includes supervising staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring efficient operations across all guest rooms and public areas.
You'll play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and leading a team that takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and support housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure hotel standards are met.
Assist in scheduling staff and managing attendance, payroll records, and inventory of cleaning supplies and linens.
Monitor quality of work and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
Ensure all safety and sanitation policies are followed.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to address guest requests and room
readiness.
Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Support the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining operational efficiency and cost control.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related hospitality role.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
Proficient in managing schedules, inventory, and administrative tasks.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and cleaning procedures is an asset.
