Founded in the UK, Water Babies is the world's largest baby and toddler swimming franchise business with an international network of 70+ franchise outlets across 6 countries; Canada, the UK, the USA, Ireland, Netherlands and China.

Our flagship corporate franchise operates in 15 pools with over 850 swimmers in 3 provinces weekly, and has been operating since 2015.

Overview of the position:

Our Assistant General Manager (AGM) will need to have or develop the skill set to run a business, develop and motivate people, and passionately teach 0-5 baby and toddler swimming. We are ideally looking for someone who has worked in aquatics previously with management experience, although it is possible to be a successful applicant without having that background. What you absolutely do need to a passion for learning about and understanding aquatics, children and franchising.

What we are looking for is that passion coupled with attitude, work ethic, willingness to learn, ability to adapt and to be flexible. Of course, We will also give you full business and systems training to support you.

Ultimate success in this role would be taking over the General Manager position in 2 years or less.

The AGM will be involved in most aspects of the day to day operational management and direction of our operations. This is a hands on role from the start, and will include front line service both in the pool and in the office. The AGM will need to wear many hats, working with areas such as marketing, HR, finance and office administration to delivering our aquatics program. This position will allow you to grow personally by both teaching our adorable clients, and eventually coaching our teachers on how to provide the best experience for our swimmers.

Responsibilities:

Lead customer service activities, such as calls and emails with clients, this will include being hands on taking and making calls. Following and executing the General Manager's growth plan, with a systematic approach to goal setting, marketing, conversion of enquiries and booking swimmers into our courses. To coordinate and maintain the client administration systems, standards and operational procedures To take part in the delivery of aquatics services To lead the sales and administrative team on a day to day basis (2-3 staff) To support day to day operational interaction with teachers To monitor and manage relationships with pools and to monitor and act on pool operational issues To learn how to actively seek out new pools and highlight areas where new pools are required To ensure all health and safety policies are clearly documented, actioned and reported on where necessary To manage, record and report on complaints & customer feedback received and to deal with escalations To be monitor and report on performance on profit margins, utilisation, customer retention, client numbers as part of the monthly business planning and review processes to meet the business KPI's To manage and take part in the sale of products (we sell related swimming products, warming garments and toys) Any other duties as may be deemed appropriate

Compensation for this role will consist of a competitive base salary and a development track to take on the General Manager role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
