ROLE OVERVIEW

One of our clients - a leading global luxury brand -is opening a boutique in an iconic retail space in Bloor-Yorkville focusing on providing extraordinary service and experiences to clients during the holiday period. This position will report to the Managing Director and will work collaboratively with the retail associates, marketing team, event team and concierge team to support the client experience in a fast-paced, luxury environment.

The General Manager is responsible for working with the Managing Director and entire Marketing team to successfully run all aspects of the business including building sales, identifying opportunities, and client development via CRM and service initiatives, scheduling and coaching of staff.

All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

DAY-TO-DAY ROLE:

Daily oversight of all store operations.

Daily supervision of retail and concierge staff (coaching, training and assisting in achieving sales/lead objectives).

Demonstrates an active management presence on the sales floor modeling exceptional service and ensuring all team members embody the brand. live up to the brand's exacting standards.

Play an active role in inventory management and weekly inventory counts (or as needed).

Communicates CRM requirements, follows up daily for associate compliance and to maximize quality of client capture rate.

Ensures policy and procedure is clearly communicated to the team and all are actively compliant.

Monitor scheduling needs for the staff. Use Deputy to keep an accurate record of vacation, time and attendance in tandem with HR.

Making critical guest-service decisions in real-time with the support of the Managing Director.

Oversee all in-store events in conjunction with the PR team.

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of retail management experience; prior experience in a luxury, hospitality, automotive environment is preferred.

Must possess basic office skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Office.

Ability to learn merchandise, POS and payroll systems; effectively troubleshoot.

Ability to interpret qualitative guest feedback and translate into effective business recommendations.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Flexible in work availability as business needs dictate.

Excellent in presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.

Good command of English. French, Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
