What you will do: Reporting to the Gas Bar Manager, the successful incumbent will demonstrate behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Moose Jaw Co-op\xe2\x80\x99s values, mission, and vision. The Assistant Gas Bar Manager will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the gas bar and providing exceptional customer service to our external and internal customers. This includes achieving budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support the Moose Jaw Co-op\xe2\x80\x99s vision. It also includes, achieving established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery, and identifying areas for improvement. The position will assist in recruiting, training, developing, coaching, and motivating the gas bar team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Gas Bar Manager in the day-to-day management of task execution
• Helping to prepare, implement, and achieve budgeted department goals related to pricing, sales, margin, expenses, inventory, and productivity of the location
• Ensuring merchandising, product, and facility image are at the highest standards
• Helping to lead a culture of safety through adherence to company standards for health & safety, loss prevention, and environmental due diligence
• Assisting with the mentorship, supervision, and training of new and existing Gas Bar staff, including recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, performance management, employee relations, timecard management, training, and development of team members
• Ensuring prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service is provided at all times
• Living the Moose Jaw Co-op brand by striving to achieve our vision and mission

• 3+ years of Gas Bar experience with at least 1 year of leadership experience
• Related experience in the Co-operative Retailing System is an asset
• Capable of attaining high levels of production with minimal supervision
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates strong and effective team leadership skills and works well within a multigenerational, highly motivated team
• Ability to embrace a culture focused on safety, engagement, innovation, and teamwork
• Capable of demonstrating worksite mobility (i.e., lifting up to 50lbs, working in a variety of weather conditions, etc.)
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
