We are hiring an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager!
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this is an exciting opportunity to lead our restaurant, lounge, and banquet operations and collaborate with multiple departments and guests to create meaningful and memorable experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in creating operating policies, procedures, and scheduling when required
Ensure F&B department is operating in accordance to Hilton Standards
Support team members wherever possible through sharing of creative ideas, best practices and assistance with problem solving
Organize and lead operations in dining outlets and function spaces
Demonstrate strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.
Be organized, detail-oriented and take initiative.
Motivate, lead and encourage the entire F&B team to generate positive results in guest experience, financial goals and associate satisfaction.
Balancing financial transactions
Be an active participant on hotel committees & departmental meetings
Ensure ongoing training and coaching with Human Resources to ensure disciplinary process and performance management is consistent and effective.
Assist and manage the implementation of Hilton programs and initiatives.
Promote and encourage inter-departmental cooperation and communication to improve customer service and overall satisfaction by coordinating inter-departmental activities and conducting weekly meetings.
Assist in preparing reports as requested to develop a more informative database for applicable decision making
Develop and execute F&B promotions
Achieve budget forecasts, revenue and profit goals
Maximize productivity through proper scheduling and cost control
Ensure that all restaurant associates have obtained legislated training
Ensure month-end procedures are completed, including inventories, costing and analysis
Program and maintain Micros point of sale system
Ensure superior cleanliness and quality for the outlets
Utilize effectively and intelligently all social media to promote the operation as well as the staff members
Continuous development and using creative ways to enhance the guest experience and ensuring consistency across team members.
Manage, maintaining/improving SALT in all areas reporting as often as necessary.
Maintain an active role in the community, civic and industry segments following Hilton values
Ensure customers and team members concern are addressed in a timely, professional and efficient manner
Promote and encourage inter-departmental cooperation and communication to ensure overall guest satisfaction is optimum
Analize market research data to identify trends and opportunities to increase revenues and market share
Qualifications
Able to assist all F&B operations (restaurant, bar, banquets & function spaces)
Minimum 5 years of Food & Beverage Management experience in hotel setting
Minimum 3 years of banquet service experience
Strong restaurant background, with exposure to various roles
Experience with MICROS Simphony is an asset
Post secondary education in Hospitality Management
Valid SMART Serve Certificate
