PURPOSE




As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing our culinary and service vision to life. You are not only a leader of operations but also a creator of moments, ensuring that every dining experience reflects our brand's warmth, quality, and attention to detail. PRIMARY DUTIES



Maintain the department facilities, standards of presentation and levels of service to a level that achieves and exceeds Company Brand Standards, meets Health, Safety and Hygiene standards and complies with Company Safety and Fire Regulations and procedures Ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently, in line with Company standards, and with obvious attention to detail Conduct shift briefings with team prior to opening Maintain high standards of comfort, cleanliness, and hygiene throughout the department. Set and maintain the highest standards of dress appearance and hygiene at all times in line with Colleague personal Presentation Standards. Maintain a service-level in the restaurant and bar with an emphasis on high quality, efficiency. Review and evaluate Guest feedback and react accordingly ensuring all compliments and complaints are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner Demonstrate awareness of licensing regulations and hotel procedures relating to the bar and service of alcoholic beverages and conduct staff training sessions accordingly Maintain set restaurant standards and ensure that the highest standards of food and beverage quality and service are achieved in the restaurant Demonstrate perfect knowledge of all food and beverages served in the bar and restaurant and their preparation and presentation Assist Team Members with their Personal Development Plan that details and actively encourages use of programs offered by Hilton Worldwide University and the Hotel Training Calendar Assist with sudden staff shortages as a result of absenteeism and report all absences according to Company Attendance Procedures Assist with training of restaurant/bar personnel as required Assist with F&B Cost Control to ensure stock takes are carried out in a timely manner and ensure food and beverage cost control targets are maintained Assist with serving guests and team members through environmentally-sound decisions Assist with scheduling and payroll records for Food & Beverage team members


QUALIFICATIONS



Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred 2-4 years of progressive Food & Beverage experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role Experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant/bar environment preferred Strong understanding of Food & Beverage operations, cost control, and inventory management Sound knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations Proficiency with POS Agilisys's an asset Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to analyze guest feedback and operational performance to enhance service quality Hands-on leader who motivates through example and fosters teamwork Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business demands Food Handler/Food Safety Certification required Serving it Right certification required * First Aid Level 1 preferred
