The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the food and beverage department. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and assisting in the management of staff and daily operations. Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily operations of food and beverage services, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all food service areas, adhering to food safety standards.
Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the Micros POS system efficiently.
Support the hiring process by conducting interviews and training new employees.
Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to develop menus that meet customer preferences while maximizing profitability.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
Previous restaurant management or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
