PURPOSE
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the F&B outlets and that standards are meet in accordance with the hotel policies. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2-3 years Food & Beverage experience, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Hotel background with experience in room service, restaurant and bar operations
  • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language both written and verbal. Other languages an asset
  • High energy, positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow.
  • Well-presented and well groomed
  • Shows initiative, creativity and flexibility
  • Excellent guest service skills, desire to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Natural leader and team player
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Upbeat and friendly personality with a high level of self-confidence. Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of accountability, detail oriented individual with a need to please
  • Extensive cash handling experience
  • Micros or other point of sale experience
  • Must obtain a Serving it Right and Food Safe certification
  • Able to stand for entire shift (8 hours at a time)
  • Able to carry and balance heavy trays for extended periods of time, and/or lift other heavy items to a weight over 20 lbs
  • Occasional lifting of beer kegs weighing up to 120 lbs
  • Able to work under pressure and with sometimes demanding / abrasive clientele
  • Appreciation for diverse multicultural environment
