Position Summary Working closely with the Flight Attendant Manager, the Assistant Flight Attendant Manager is responsible for ensuring the professional standards of the cabin crews which includes: managing, leading, coaching and development of flight attendants, as well as any other duties assigned by the Flight Attendant Manager. In addition, help facilitate the delivery of training programs in accordance with regulatory requirements. In the absence of the Flight Attendant Manager, provide supervision and daily management to ensure operational integrity and to resolve issues that may arise on a day-to-day basis.Personal Characteristics Possesses strong leadership skills Must have a thorough understanding of the Flight Attendant position and Canadian Aviation Regulations Demonstrates ability to work independently and is a strong, collaborative team player Accountable, adaptable, works well under pressure Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners, customers and departments within Perimeter Possesses a "can-do" and "will-do" attitude and the ability to personally contribute in a fast-paced environment Operationally savvy, and able to thrive in a continuous improvement environment Excellent listening and communication skills requiredKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities The Assistant Flight Attendant Manager is responsible for providing management and leadership support for the day to day operation of the Flight Attendant department. Leading by example to help ensure the professional standards of the cabin crews and, in particular, the following: Assume all responsibilities of the Flight Attendant Manager, in his/her absence Responsible for the professional standards of the cabin crews under his/her authority and in particular he/she must demonstrate safety procedures and ensure that the highest level of safety standards are exhibited onboard the aircraft Learn the working contents of the Flight Attendant Manual, Perimeter Aviation's Company Operations Manual, Air Operator Certificate and Operating Specifications as necessary for the performance of the assigned duties Assist with providing Flight Attendant Training in accordance with the approved training program Actioning and distribution of accident, incident, and other occurrence reports Processing and actioning of any cabin crew reports Supervision of flight attendants Act as a Flight Attendant when operationally required Completion of all other duties as assigned by the Flight Attendant ManagerMinimum Required Education and Experience Grade 12 diploma Demonstrate knowledge to the company with respect to the content of the Canadian Aviation Regulations/Standards, Aeronautics Act, Company Operations Manual, Air Operating Certificate/Operating Specifications One year experience as a Perimeter Flight Attendant, or successfully qualify as a Perimeter Flight Attendant and possess a minimum of one year experience as a Flight Attendant Previous supervisory/management experience is an asset Previous instructing experience is an asset Superior interpersonal, listening, problem-solving and communication skills Must demonstrate a strong understanding of the Flight Attendant position Computer and database efficiency an asset (AvAIO computer system preferred) Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training is an assetWorking Conditions Available to perform Flight Attendant duties as scheduled Perform administrative office duties as needed in support of operational requirements Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to travel for extended periods Ability to attend and conduct presentations Work inside and outside in all seasons May be required to lift or move up to 25lbsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
