About The Role:

We're looking for a motivated, detail oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join our Finance Team in London, Ontario. This role supports day to day accounting operations and financial reporting, working closely with the Financial Controller and leadership team. It's a great opportunity for someone who wants to level up their accounting career in a fast moving, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support monthly and year end close processes
Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
Maintain and update fixed asset and inventory schedules
Handle daily transactions in QuickBooks Online
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Assist with HST filings and compliance with Canadian tax regulations
Manage and track prepaids, accruals, and AP/AR functions
Help with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Ensure financial accuracy and audit readiness
Collaborate with departments across the company
Support continuous improvement of internal systems and processes
Other finance-related duties as needed

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (Canadian credentials)
2-5 years of professional accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online (minimum 1 year)
Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
Familiarity with Canadian GAAP, HST, and financial reporting
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (citizen, PR, or valid work permit)
Must be able to work in person in our London, ON office
