We are seeking a motivated candidate to fill the role of
Assistant Farm Manager
on our remote farm sites in the Bay's West area on the
South Coast of NL

ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to the Farm Manager, this role is a crucial part of our operations process and ensures the best management of our salmon in a sustainable and efficient way. In this role you will strive for continuous growth and assist with all aspects of farm site work to keep the team on track and performing well.
Your main job duties will include assist with the safe and successful operation of your farm, acting in absence of the Farm Manager, help manage the site team, promote a safe and positive work environment, lead on feeding, control, and inspection of the fish, maintain reliable data records and all general farm tasks. This is a permanent, full-time position which offers on site living accommodations and remote living allowance with a shift schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off. This position is open to both internal and external candidates.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidates would be safety oriented and willing to work in a team environment with a passion for the industry. They would have:
Relevant post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience within the industry
Leadership and project management abilities
Respect for the need for safe working practices and animal welfare
Well-developed English verbal and written communication
Good computer and document management knowledge
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and participate in training opportunities
Ability to work safely and effectively in challenging outdoor weather
Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
Ability to work a two week on, two week off shift and live on site in the company accommodation barge
Marine related training certificates would be an asset
Legally eligible to work in Canada
