Job Description

St. Charles Country Club is seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable individual to join our Food & Beverage service team as an Assistant Events & Front of House Manager! This is an excellent role for anyone in the hospitality industry looking to develop their skills and gain experience at a multi-faceted facility. Previous Food & Beverage experience and a strong passion for the hospitality industry is a must.

The successful candidate will be focused on executing an exceptional Member & Guest experience across all areas of service. They will possess a strong desire to provide friendly, personable, and professional service with the goal to make people happy and create memories.

Key Responsibilities & Attributes



The primary function of the assistant manager role will be to guide and support service staff in execution of daily service and delivery of events. The successful candidate will possess the following experiences, skills, and attributes:

Has previous food & beverage service experience. Experience in a supervisor position considered an asset. Maintains a friendly but professional appearance and attitude in all situations. Takes direction well. Ability to work cohesively within a tight knit team as well as independently. Great communicator. Smart Choices Certification. Flexible availability. Strong desire to provide an exceptional member/guest experience and make people happy. Access to reliable transportation (not accessible by public transit). Ability to supervise service staff to ensure set standards are adhered to. Supports service staff with tasks as needed to ensure a smooth and memorable member experience. Oversees/manages events of varying size from start to finish. Setup dining spaces at outlined on the BEO and complete teardown after service. Maintains in-depth knowledge of all food & beverage menus. Routinely check in with tables and ensure any issues or concerns are quickly resolved. Works as a server or bartender as necessary. Opens or closes the facility as required.
This is a full-time position throughout the golf & holiday season (April through December), with potential for full or part-time employment January through March based on the candidate.
