Position Summary



Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Director - Accounting and Finance acts as a key support in managing financial operations. In addition to ensuring the accuracy of accounting processes, they actively contribute to the production of financial statements and the implementation of financial management tools tailored to growth.



Responsibilities

Supervise and support the accounting team at all levels (Operational, Accounting, and others).

Develop team competencies and foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Act as a resource person for internal and external stakeholders regarding financial processes.

Plan, coordinate, and participate in month-end activities and the production of internal financial statements.

Participate in and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and other control analyses.

Actively contributes to the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and management reports, in collaboration with the Director of Finance.

Support external audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Additional Ad hoc projects such as process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience in a similar role.



CPA designation (an asset).



5 to 8 years of relevant experience, including team supervision in an entrepreneurial environment (an asset).

Proficiency in Excel features



(PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SQL and others).



Strong knowledge of accounting principles and management accounting.

Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.

Attention to detail, autonomy, and professionalism in interactions with internal stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex transactions in a structured environment.

Clear communication, positive leadership, and a collaborative approach.
