Assistant Credit Manager

Job Description
Aplin has partnered with our client to recruit for the permanent position of Assistant Credit Manager, located in Winnipeg Manitoba.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve credit applications
- Maintain customer files and credit files, re-evaluating credit risk and limitations
- Prepare and provide credit acceptance letters to customers as well as collections letters and monthly statements for customer accounts
- Collect overdue accounts promptly providing excellent customer service
- Update the credit policy and provide monthly reports and updates to the credit manager
- Consult with credit agencies as required
- Provide guidance and support to the members of the credit department
- Assist with other functions in the credit department as required
- Post-secondary education in accounting
- 5 plus years of recent related credit experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with JD Edward is considered an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
