We deliver advice-based banking while providing tools that reduce complexity, offering the right information, and motivating our Members to reach their overall financial goals.Our Retail teams work alongside our partners in Wealth, Small Business, and Mobile Mortgage Specialists to support our Members\' holistic financial growth.As an Assistant Branch Manager:You will be responsible for supporting and guiding a team of financial services professionals in a specific branch location. This will include an understanding of branch operations, lending, deposits, investments, wealth, small business and Member Experience while ensuring both security and safety in accordance with strategic objectives.In conjunction with the Branch Manager, you will influence and implement the business plans for the branch. You will build, lead and coach a team focused on elevating Meridian\xe2\x80\x99s Member Experience and achieving annual sales and experience objectives.This role is ideal for individuals who aspire for Branch Leadership, who understand and thrive within the changing landscape of the financial services industry.Member Experience

• Fosters and promotes Meridian\xe2\x80\x99s Member Experience strategies while envisioning new ways to add value for current and future Members.
• Recognizes and rewards phenomenal service in action.
• Empowers the team to resolve escalated Member Concerns and creates action plans to avoid issues in the future.
• Ensures that branch staff receive proper training to demonstrate abilities to sell and cross-sell products and services that meet individual Member needs.

Strategic Initiatives

• Leads branch activities in support of expanding the Member relationship and growing share of wallet.
• Ensures appropriate focus, integration, and relationship building with business partners in Commercial, Wealth and Small Business within the market.
• Builds and maintains strong partner relationships with key corporate support partners.
• Provides feedback to assist with the evaluation of new programs, channels, and technologies.
• Cascades communication of the strategic direction & priorities of the organization to branch staff.

Operations \xe2\x80\x93 Planning, Metrics and Reporting

• Along with Branch Manager, maintain all risk controls and audit functions to ensure the branch is aligned with policies and procedures.
• Review and complete branch reporting for performance monitoring.

Community Experience

• Partner with the DVP and Branch Manager to create a robust Community engagement plan for the specified market.
• Discover ways to support local community organizations and activities through Business Development and Good Neighbor Program with appropriate planning, preparation and delivery of Meridian hosted Community events.

How you will succeed:Experience & Education

• At least 3-5 years of retail banking experience, including strong working knowledge of all lending and investment products.
• Post-secondary education in Finance or Business Administration or related field.
• Previous leadership experience along with a Mutual Funds License, PFP or CFP designations are all considered assets.
• Established network of COI (Centre of Influences) an asset as well.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to adapt and prioritize; plan workload in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills. Able to mitigate and resolve Member Concerns.
• Effective analytical skills including solid understanding of financial budget analysis, staffing models and scheduling is an asset.
• Relationship building skills with an ability to effectively partner cross-functionally.
• Confident presentation skills to lead meetings and to present ideas for socialization to achieve buy-in.
