Job Description

Our Well Known , and long standing client located in York Region is looking for their next rising star at their manufacturing facility as the Assistant Plant Operations Controller

Responsibilities :

• Assist the group controller in providing oversight and direction and delegation of responsibilities to all members in the accounting team
• Help in performance management: communicate job expectations and conduct employee evaluations for all departments on an annual basis.
• Assist the plant controller in the preparation of reports and KPI\'s each month.
• Conduct job analysis on a semi-yearly basis.
• Prepare monthly actual vs. budget departmental reports and review results.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget & development and maintenance of

the standard costing system.

• Co-ordinate the monthly closing activities.
• Assist in the coaching, counselling and lead by example to all employees.

Participate in succession planning activities including career development

Must Haves / Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ yrs experience in a manufacturing environment along with some

experience in a supervisory/management role.

• University degree in accounting or business administration along with your

Accounting Designation - CPA/CA/CMA/CGA

• Proficient usage of Microsoft applications, Excel(Adv), PowerPoint, and Word.
