We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.


We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and strong collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting, and enjoys turning data into meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations) Assist with the timely, complete, and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports. Perform variance analysis between actuals and budgets, clearly identifying and communicating key drivers. Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs and improve visibility across the business. Review and reconcile foreign exchange transactions and support hedge accounting documentation in accordance with ASPE standards. Assist with year-end process and prepare supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and applicable accounting standards. Play a key role in the evaluation, implementation, and setup of a new ERP system, ensuring accurate data migration, efficient process design, and improved financial reporting. Collaborate effectively with the finance team and other business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

CPA designation or equivalent experience Must have prior public practice (audit or assurance) experience, with industry experience in manufacturing and/or construction considered a strong asset. A "hands-on" professional who leads by example and motivates individuals at all levels to strive for success and excellence Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements
