We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant
Comptroller
/Executive Assistant to help oversee our organization's financial operations and assist the owner in the operations of The Farmer's Daughter for a Maternity backfill . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights. This role requires a strong background in accounting principles, proficiency with Quickbooks, and the ability to analyze complex financial data to support organizational growth and stability.
Duties
Manage and oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to guide organizational decision-making.
Ensure accurate account reconciliation and conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks
Monitor cash flow and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
Develop internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with book keeper and prepare necessary documentation for financial reporting.
Assist in strategic planning by providing insights based on financial data analysis.

Experience
extensive knowledge of accounting practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
Experience with account analysis and financial reporting is required.
Familiarity with industry standards for internal controls and compliance regulations.
Prior experience managing or supervising accounting teams is preferred but not mandatory.
