Job Overview


We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our accounting team. This is a fast-paced role in anenergetic office environment where collaboration and communication are part of the day to day work. You'll be working closely with a great team, and support is always available when you need it.

The position involves a mix of accounting work and data entry, supporting the Controller and the companies ongoing financial operations. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, disciplined, and organized, and who already has experience working in an accounting environment -- this is a must.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys staying busy, learning new things, and being part of a team that works hard but also enjoys working together. There is room to grow, take on more responsibility over time, and continue developing your accounting skills in a supportive setting.

Duties



Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and budgets to support strategic decision-making. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. Communicate with customers to assist them in keeping their accounts current and to address any account related questions. Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data across various accounts. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, or irregularities, recommending corrective actions as needed. Utilize accounting software Xero, and other platforms to maintain up to date financial records. Support month end and year end closing processes, including journal entries and audit preparations. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and policies. Assist in budgeting processes by monitoring expenses and forecasting financial performance.

Skills



Proficiency in accounting software. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation. Experience with account analysis and financial reporting. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and preparing reports for management.
