Assistant Coach, Men's Volleyball
Huskie Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach to continue to build on our men's volleyball program's long history of success. We have high standards, and it is incumbent on the successful candidate to provide exemplary leadership in all areas related to the Huskie men's volleyball program.
Primary Purpose: Under the direction of the Men's Volleyball Head Coach, the ideal candidate is committed to managing an outstanding high-performance program focused on student-athlete recruitment and success, community engagement and the development of Volleyball regionally, provincially and nationally.
Nature of Work: The position reports functionally to the Head Coach of Huskie Men's Volleyball and administratively to the Chief Athletics Officer (CAO) of Huskie Athletics. This position establishes and maintains the level of professional relationships that support exceptional collaboration with the Head Coach and appropriate leadership and mentorship to the student-athletes and potential recruits to the program. This is a high-volume position that works under pressure in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking to meet competing deadlines. It is a high profile position and is visible in the University and the community. Potential candidates must recognize the responsibility that comes with this role and its potential impact on the credibility of Huskie Athletics, the College of Kinesiology, and the University of Saskatchewan. This position involves travel, as well as work on evening, weekends and holidays.
