Employment status: Temporary full time (4 months)

Salary band: $35,723 - $44,654/year

The incumbent will be collaborating with the Coordinator providing customer service, administrative, and financial support to the HELP while being part of the volunteer process.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide professional customer service, information and equipment demonstrations related to the provision of health equipment loans
  • Provide professional support and responses to health care industry regarding equipment referral processes
  • Facilitate outbound calls to clients, accompanied by database tracking, within the overdue equipment or long-term loans retrieval process
  • Provide all administrative duties to ensure accurate and confidential paper and/or computer client and loan records are maintained
  • Compile statistical reports from the database as required
  • Maintain excellent reception, customer service and local office administrative support responsibilities ensuring business continuity during business hours by engaging volunteers
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly state
  • Will receive, clean, maintain, repair and issue inventory loans as required within quality assurance guidelines as required
  • Provide responsibilities within a fast-paced environment with an ability to lift up-to 50lbs
What we are looking for:
  • Demonstrated professional skill set in customer service or office administration and one-year work related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including handling interactions with the public, clients and colleagues
  • An ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including telephone etiquette and the operations of a multi-line phone system.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and inventory databases
  • Attention to detail and follows policy directives
  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural difference
  • General knowledge and understanding of non-mechanical health equipment, specifically related to mobility and bath aides
Working conditions:
  • Daytime office hours. Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30
  • The majority of the work is performed in an environment which is mostly clean and comfortable.
  • May be required to provide additional support during times of personal disaster response
