L'OPPORTUNITE





Scalia est a la recherche d'un Assistant charge de projet pour se joindre a notre equipe de gestion de projet alors que nous travaillons a realiser notre vision de reinventer 18 quartiers d'ici 2040. Sous la supervision du Charge de projet et en collaboration avec le Directeur de projet, vous participerez activement a la realisation d'un projet multi-phase a usage mixte. Ce role est une opportunite d'acquerir une experience significative au sein d'une equipe reconnue pour son expertise et son esprit de collaboration.

RESONSABILITES




Contribuer au suivi et au controle des budgets et des echeanciers de construction; Preparer et valider des releves de quantite; Participer aux reunions de demarrage et de coordination avec les sous-traitants; Collaborer avec les consultants a la conception preliminaire et au developpement detailles des projets en veillant au respect des budgets, des normes et des exigences contractuelles; Fournir les informations necessaires a l'obtention des permis; Analyser, commenter et approuver les dessins d'atelier, en proposant au besoin des esquisses a la main de details de construction; Participer a la resolution de problemes techniques et proposer des solutions creatives; Assurer la transmission claire de l'information et la bonne coordination des intentions du design entre le bureau et le chantier; Faire le suivi et le controle des dessins d'atelier, plans, notes de projets, deficiences, etc.; Preparer les rapports mensuels et assurer le classement electronique des documents des projets en cours; Supporter le chantier pour la coordination, la planification et la gestion des sous-traitants; Contribuer a la realisation des deficiences et au service apres-vente; Effectuer toute autre tache connexe liee a la gestion de projet.



LE CANDIDAT




Baccalaureat en genie civil, construction, mecanique, en architecture ou toute autre formation pertinente; Minimum 2 a 4 annees d'experience pertinente en construction residentielle lourde; Solide connaissance du Code de construction du Quebec, des lois et autres reglements applicables; Capacite a lire et interpreter des plans de structure, mecanique, electrique, architecture, gicleurs, etc. Excellentes capacites a gerer les priorites et a s'adapter aux imprevus; Fortes habiletes analytiques et de resolution de problemes; Bon jugement et esprit critique; Maitrise de la suite Microsoft Office. Connaissance de MS Project, Autocad et Procore est souhaitee; Bilinguisme francais-anglais, tant a l'oral qu'a l'ecrit.

THE OPPORTUNITY





Scalia is looking for an

Assistant Project Manager

to join our project management team as we work towards our vision of reinventing 18 neighborhoods by 2040. Under the supervision of the Project Manager and in collaboration with the Project Director, you will play an active role in the delivery of a multi-phase mixed-use project. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful experience within a team recognized for its expertise and collaborative spirit.

RESPONSIBILITIES




Assist with tracking and controlling construction

budgets

and

schedules

. Prepare and validate quantity take-offs. Participate in project kick-off and coordination meetings with subcontractors. Collaborate with consultants on preliminary and detailed design, ensuring compliance with budgets, standards, and contractual requirements. Provide the information required for permit applications. Review, comment on, and approve shop drawings, preparing hand sketches of construction details when necessary. Participate in the resolution of technical issues and propose creative solutions. Ensure clear communication and coordination of design intent between office and site teams. Monitor and track shop drawings, plans, project notes, deficiencies, and related documentation. Prepare monthly reports and ensure proper electronic filing of project documentation. Support site operations with subcontractor coordination, planning, and issue resolution. Contribute to deficiency management and post-construction service. Perform other related tasks in support of project management.



THE CANDIDATE




Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or another relevant field. Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in heavy residential construction. Strong knowledge of the Quebec Building Code, applicable laws, and regulations. Ability to read and interpret structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, sprinkler, and related drawings. Excellent ability to manage priorities and adapt to unexpected challenges. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound judgment and critical thinking. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, and Procore is an asset. Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
