The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for assisting and supporting the development and coordination of brand marketing programs and consumer promotional projects to ensure the achievement of corporate sales and profit and market share goals.

This will be a hybrid position and be required to be onsite 2-3 days and remote remainder of the week.

Key Work Performed:

  • Support Brand Managers in the strategic development and execution of annual Marketing plans including new products, advertising, consumer promotions merchandising, digital and social media and public relations
  • Complete key business analyses including: product and category sales /profitability, marketplace/share, competitive assessment, volume builds, promotion evaluation, SKU rationalization, pricing/sizing analysis and market research analysis and implications
  • Work with internal and external creative and technical resources to develop and execute new products, packaging, advertising, promotional materials point of sale and sales collateral materials that support key marketing initiatives
  • Establish and maintain marketing budget reconciliation and spend tracking on a monthly basis
  • Manage and update digital assets including image bank, website, email newsletters and Facebook page, search and blogger influencers
  • Liaise between the sales and marketing teams to assist in delivering tools such as product images, samples and mock ups, line review information, product specs etc.
  • Establish and maintain regular and frequent dialogue with global marketing colleagues to ensure brand and project harmonization
Job Specifications (Minimum Requirements)

Skill Factors (education, experience, communication, technical, etc.):
  • Post-secondary Degree in Business or Marketing
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Assistant Brand Manager or Brand Manager in a Tier 1 consumer packaged goods environment
Proven experience in Sales/Marketing and Brand Management which includes:
  • Financial acumen, P&L understanding
  • A.C.N. expertise
  • Strong sense of urgency and achievement
  • Flexible and ability to adapt and respond under pressure
  • Ability to influence others
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work and manage projects independently with little or no supervision
  • Effective time management \xe2\x80\x93 ability to manage self, time and priorities
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Photoshop
  • Fluency in English reflecting ability to communicate professionally (in writing and orally using proper grammar and spelling) and ability to work effectively and cross-functionally within the organization (internally & externally)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Effort Factors (physical and mental demands)
  • Ability to gather, interpret, analyze and provide recommendations on Sales trends and go-forward initiatives
  • Superior time and organizational skills \xe2\x80\x93 ability to manage self, time and priorities and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Must exhibit original thinking, creativity and initiative
  • Physical is limited to those normally associated with other support positions in the company e.g. standing, walking and sitting, often for long durations at the computer
Working Conditions:
  • Works the standard schedule of 37.5 hours per week; however, job requirements will include additional and/or extended work time as the business dictates
  • Works in a well-ventilated modern office with natural and artificial light exposure
  • Travel required for Sales & Marketing conferences and as dictated by the Company (approximately 6 times per year to World HQ in Marysville, Ohio)
