We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bakery Manager to lead our bakery operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily bakery activities, ensure high-quality food preparation, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the food industry, and a solid background in restaurant or hospitality management. The Bakery Manager will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, managing staff, and ensuring the overall success of the bakery.
Duties
Supervise daily bakery operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
Manage and train bakery staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality product output
Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper food handling procedures
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Handle cash and card transactions using Clover; perform cash handling duties accurately
Monitor customer service quality, address customer inquiries, and resolve complaints promptly
Coordinate with kitchen staff to develop new baked goods and improve existing recipes
Lead interviewing and hiring processes for new team members
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace
Implement restaurant management best practices to optimize productivity and profitability
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong supervisory experience with team management capabilities
Familiarity with POS systems
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation protocols in the food industry
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
Experience in restaurant management, including inventory control, cash handling, and operational oversight
Background in hotel or barista experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food service environments
Effective communication skills for interviewing potential team members and coordinating with staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
