Assistant Agribusiness Administrator Position open: November 3rd, 2023 Position close: November 30th, 2023 Start date: December 2023 Position type: Full-time Brief Description Rooke Farms is currently seeking an Assistant Agribusiness Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our diverse farm business and associated services. You will be the central point of contact for our business and will work directly with the family owner-operators to facilitate daily administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in spreadsheets and data entry, have strong organizational skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Who Are We? Our family-owned and operated agricultural business embarked on its journey in Canada a decade ago, having immigrated from England. Since then, we at Rooke Farms have worked diligently to craft a shared vision for each of our family members. This vision has led to the establishment of a thriving and diverse agricultural enterprise, which encompasses a mixed grain and cattle farm including purebred and commercial livestock, custom farming services and as of the last year machinery sales. The diverse nature of our business gives the opportunity to experience a variety of administrative tasks daily. Key Responsibilities: To assist current members in the following - \xc2\xb7 Data Management: maintain and organize farm records, financial data and operational records. Utilizing software tools for record-keeping and reporting. \xc2\xb7 Inventory Management: help to extensively manage a new inventory system of a variety of machinery parts. \xc2\xb7 Workshop Specific Admin: ordering of parts, warranty claims, record or services. \xc2\xb7 Customer Relations: assist in managing customer inquiries, scheduling services and maintaining positive customer relationships. \xc2\xb7 Employee Coordination: assist in coordination of farm employees. \xc2\xb7 Documentation: maintain accurate records for compliance and regulatory purposes. \xc2\xb7 General Office Duties: perform general office tasks such as answering phones, email communication and coordinating appointments. \xc2\xb7 Safety Compliance: ensure that safety protocols and regulations are followed in the workplace to maintain a safe working environment. \xc2\xb7 Location: will perform tasks from central office location in business workshop Qualifications and Requirements \xc2\xb7 Be self motivated and task oriented. \xc2\xb7 Strong organizational and multitasking skills \xc2\xb7 Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
\xc2\xb7 Previous administrative experience is preferred. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of agriculture and farming equipment if advantageous but not required. \xc2\xb7 The ability to perform under high stress situations in a calm and effective manner is a must.
