Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an Asset Management Lead to join our dedicated and collaborative Corporate Strategy team. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Strategy, this individual will lead the development and implementation of the Town's Asset Management Program, shaping Cochrane's approach to infrastructure planning and investment. This position requires a strategic thinker and subject matter expert who can provide technical guidance, data-driven risk analysis, and lifecycle planning across multiple asset classes. The Asset Management Lead will work alongside asset owners, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration and guiding the organization in making informed, sustainable, and cost-effective infrastructure decisions.

The salary for this position is between $58.17/hr and 62.14/hr and is based on a 35-hour work week.
What are some of the duties of the Asset Management Lead?
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Town's Asset Management Program, plans and roadmap.
Support the development and maintain the Asset Management policy, strategy, and framework in alignment with strategic, financial, and service-level priorities.
Serve as the asset management subject matter expert, advising leadership and departments on best practices, risk and investment decisions.
Facilitate cross-departmental working committees to embed asset management practices across operations and ensure organizational alignment.
Promote a culture of asset management awareness, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Guide the creation and maintenance of comprehensive asset inventories and ensure accurate, reliable, and integrated data across GIS, TCA, and other systems.
Guide condition assessments, lifecycle planning, and risk evaluations to inform capital planning, maintenance strategies, and long-term service delivery.
Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to assess asset performance, forecasts, financial needs, and service delivery metrics.
Provide data-driven analysis, recommendations, and forecasts to support sustainable investment, risk mitigation, and service optimization.
