We are currently soliciting letters of interest for an Environmental Services Assessment & Permitting Team Lead position. The position can be based in our Winnipeg, MB, Regina, SK, or Saskatoon, SK offices.

Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Team Lead will be an integral part of the Business Center\'s leadership team in using your skills to mentor and grow a highly capable and motivated team, while ensuring we provide results that go above and beyond client\'s expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities

In addition to your regular professional scope of work (i.e., participating in and/or project managing project work), your added responsibilities will include:

Managing the resourcing and development of the Assessment & Permitting Team

Supervising junior staff and helping with career development

Chairing regular team meetings & sharing information

Leading in the creation/continuation of Stantec\'s safety culture within your team

Supporting the team to ensure they meet their respective utilization target

Assisting in the development of quality SOPs

Encouraging a culture of innovation in the team

Inspiring collaboration and cross-training

Attracting, growing, and retaining high quality staff

Coaching team members

Performing Year End Performance Reviews for team members

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Experience

Leadership experience and commitment to Stantec values including inclusion and diversity

Experience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in planning and executing projects with limited supervision

Ability and willingness to travel when needed

Education and Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of direct experience in environmental planning (including project work and proposals/business development) in a lead or supporting role.

A valid driver\'s license.

Depending on the size and spread of the team, this role is generally an additional 5-15% utilization allocation to your regular scope.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather as well as travel to remote communities.
