- Assembly Technician



Description



The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling high-quality window and door products according to company standards and production requirements. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, installing hardware, glazing units, and ensuring each product meets quality and safety specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in window or door assembly, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities



Assembly & Fabrication



Assemble windows and doors according to technical drawings and production orders. Cut, drill, and prepare materials as required. Install hardware such as hinges, locks, handles, and accessories. Install gaskets, glazing beads, and insulated glass units (IGUs). Safely and efficiently use pneumatic, manual, and electric tools.

Quality Control



Inspect materials and components for defects before and during assembly. Ensure final products meet dimensional, alignment, and functional standards. Perform necessary adjustments and checks to ensure smooth operation.

Technical & Documentation



Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and instructions. Follow all standard operating procedures and production schedules. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.

Safety & Work Environment



Follow all company safety policies and use proper PPE. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Report equipment issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications



Required



Experience assembling windows, doors, or similar products. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements. Skilled in the use of hand tools, drills, routers, pneumatic tools, and saws. Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety. Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under deadlines. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Preferred



Experience in glazing or metal fabrication. Knowledge of multi-point locking systems and related hardware.

Physical Requirements



Ability to lift 50+ lbs as needed. Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods. Manual dexterity for precise assembly work.
