ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN



The position of

Assembly Technician

includes but is not limited to the assembly of manufactured products.

The use of hand tools, light machinery and equipment will be required to assemble products.

The position of Assembly Technician will work with a team to ensure proper assembly, quality and reliability of Norstar products prior to the shipping process. This position requires knowledge and skill in assembling components and the ability to handle the physical strength required to lift and move various components when needed. Assembly Technicians are required to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.

Requirements



Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset Ability to work as part of a team or independently in a busy environment. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Able to work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail. Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. Physical ability to lift up to 45lbs. Steel-toed safety boots are required. Willingness to work Overtime as required.

Job Duties



Read and interpret documentation and assemble components accordingly Ensure the quality of finished product Ensure the suitability of product for shipping Operate tools and hoists to effectively complete jobs according to Norstar Safety Standards. Maintain safe work practices. Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns Operate a forklift as required (training provided)
Norstar shift schedule is Monday to Thursday 10-hour days (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
